YEREVAN. – By becoming a member in the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), wider doors will open before Armenia in terms of ensuring economy and security.
Ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) National Assembly Faction Secretary Gagik Melikyan stated the abovementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.
“The EaEU gives us [, Armenia,] a chance for the free movement of products, investments, capital, [and] workforce.
“I believe many European countries likewise can transfer a portion of their goods via the Armenia border,” Melikyan said.
The RPA MP also expressed a conviction that joining the EaEU will not lead to an increase in the price of goods in Armenia.
Armenia signed, on October 10 in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk, the treaty on accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.
