YEREVAN. – A delegation from the Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, led by Minister Yervand Zakharyan, has traveled to France.

In Paris, the delegation will attend the World Nuclear Exhibition 2014, which will be held from Tuesday to Thursday, the Ministry press service informed.

Within the framework of the event, the Armenian delegation will also meet with the delegation from Russia.

Together with Sergey Kiriyenko, who heads the Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation of Russia, the Armenian delegation will discuss the opportunities for cooperation in extending the operation period for the operating energy unit of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP).

The parties also will continue the talks regarding the project for the construction of a new ANPP energy unit.
