STEPANAKERT. – After her first visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, world-renowned Spanish operatic soprano Montserrat Caballé, who is also a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, shared her impressions and views at the UN, and on Artsakh and its people.
NKR Culture and Youth Affairs Minister Narine Aghabalyan noted the aforesaid at a press conference on Tuesday in NKR capital city Stepanakert, Artsakhpress reported.
In the minister’s words, Azerbaijan, with its infamous “black list,” wants to prohibit eminent people’s visits to the NKR, since it fears that otherwise, the international community will expose the misinformation which Azerbaijan disseminates, and the whole truth about Artsakh and the Karabakh conflict will become apparent.
Aghabalyan added that Montserrat Caballé, however, has proved with her second visit to Artsakh—and this time with her family—that a true artist with principles is above all political aspirations.
