YEREVAN. – The opposition Heritage Party condemns Armenia’s signing the treaty on Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU) accession, Heritage’s MP Zaruhi Postanjyan stated at a press conference on Wednesday.
“[Armenian President] Serzh Sargsyan did not have the powers and duties to go to Minsk and sign such an agreement.
“We [, the Heritage Party,] consider EaEU accession the loss of our [, Armenia’s,] sovereignty and independence.
“But this is a temporary phenomenon which Serzh Sargsyan has cast us [, Armenia,] into; this signature is in the domain of adventurism,” Postanjyan specifically noted.
Armenia signed, on October 10 in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk, the treaty on accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.
