YEREVAN. – It was Europe that first put forth the “either, or” condition before Armenia, and Russia could not have been unresponsive.
National Security Party Chairman, former presidential adviser Garnik Isagulyan stated the above-said at a press conference on Wednesday, reflecting on the remark that Russia has made Armenia face the “either, or” choice.
“I believe there was no political force in Armenia that didn’t know that the ‘and, and’ option was the best option for Armenia. But, unfortunately, processes began, since 2009, which were to force us [, Armenia,] to make the ‘either, or’ choice.
“The concerns that exist on the matter of [setting up] a customs checkpoint on the NKR border, I’m convinced that such a peril does not threaten us, and our people have chosen a better way,” Isagulyan stated.
