YEREVAN. - Innovative businesses from Armenia are welcome to work in Thessaloniki Innovation Zone, Dimitrios Lakasas, president of the Innovation Zone, told Armenia News – NEWS.am correspondent at the sidelines of the Armenian-Greek business forum held recently in Yerevan.

“Of course, we are open to cooperation with non-resident companies, including those from Armenia. We all know about friendly relations between our peoples, with our relationship dating back to Ancient and Byzantine times. I think, friendly ties between our peoples are a good basis for developing common business-oriented programs,” he told.

He added that he was impressed by technological equipment and achievements of Armenian high-tech companies.

“They can meet equally advanced partners in our economic zone and exchange ideas, which means a lot for a high-tech business and may eventually lead to shared business projects,” Lakasas added.

Dimitrios Lakasas, who is also the CEO of Olympia Electronics, presented in Armenia the company’s production, which included fire and gas detection systems and security alarms.

“We’ve had some meetings in Armenia, which we’ve found quite interesting for the future,” he said.
