The UK backs football diplomacy by RA President Serzh Sargsyan, as well as the moves to normalize relations with Turkey, UK Ambassador to Armenia Charles Lonsdale told a press conference in Yerevan.

The Ambassador noted that despite certain disappointment over the process, a dialogue between Turkey and Armenia has no alternative, as it meets the interests of both countries and of the entire region. He also stressed that the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation process should continue and reach its logical end. Lonsdale once again underscored that the UK would assist Armenian-Turkish dialogue in any possible way.
