STEPANAKERT. – Artsakh Pickle Festival will be organized in the village of Drakhtik of Hadrut region on Saturday.
The visitors will have the opportunity to taste and buy traditional pickles from Drakhtik and other 16 villages of the region as well other dishes of Artsakh cuisine represented in more than 50 booths.
The programme of the festival includes folk dances and exhibitions of Artsakh cultural heritage, folk arts and daily life. Hadrut’s “Dizak” ensemble, musicians and singers from Stepanakert will give folk instruments’ concert and perform traditional songs.
The main goal of the festival is to represent the value of ancient Armenian traditions, to pass them from generation to generation and to show the talent and skills of the people of Hadrut. It also has an objective to preserve and to make popular cultural heritage of the country, elements of the intangible cultural heritage such as cuisine, folklore and dialect.
