June 28, NKR President Bako Sahakyan visited Martakert and participated in the solemn events dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the town’s liberation.

The President laid wreath at the memorials of the citizens killed in the Great Patriotic and Artsakh Liberation wars. He also awarded freedom fighters and philanthropists, NKR Presidential press service informed NEWS.am.

In his speech Bako Sahakyan noted that the liberation of Martakert was an important victory both for Artsakh and the entire Armenian nation.

The NKR President also participated in the opening ceremony of Arzi Group factory in Martakert.
