RA Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan called on the international community to condemn the consistent policy of destroying Armenian monuments and the entire Christian heritage of the world.

“Despite the international community’s negative response, Azerbaijan and Turkey continue their policy of cultural genocide, eliminating Armenian historical monuments,” he said at the opening of the 17th conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy. He cited the example of the Armenian cemetery in Jugha.

The 17th conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy opened in Yerevan to last till July 2. Today the participants laid a wreath at the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims.
