This January-May, Armenia’s budget deficit totaled 10.8bn AMD (about U.S. $3m). Budget revenues totaled 299.1bn AMD (about U.S. $800m), on-budget expenditures 309.9bn AMD (about U.S. $840m). The actual budget deficit proved to be seven times as low as planned. The budget deficit was financed only from the local sources. A total of 15.8bn AMD (U.S. $42m) were attracted for this purpose, whereas the negative balance in terms of external sources totals 5bn AMD, a 14.7bn AMD (U.S. $40m) interstate credit issued to Nagorno-Karabakh accounting for that.

The RA Ministry of Finance reports that 8.1bn AMD (U.S. $22m) of available funds were used in the first half of this year instead of the planned 73.5bn AMD (U.S. $200). Returned internal credits totaled 13.5bn AMD (U.S. $35m) – 5.1 times as much as planned. The ArmRusgasprom Company paid off the major part of internal liabilities.
