YEREVAN. - In 2015, the government of Armenia will increase the additional pay to scientists for advanced degrees, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

The Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan announced in parliament while introducing the state budget for 2015, that the government will pay more to doctorate candidates and Ph.D. degree holders. Thus, at the moment candidates and Doctors in addition to their salary get AMD 10,000 ($25) and 20,000 ($50) respectively. In 2015, the candidates and Doctors will get AMD 25,000 ($65) and 50,000 ($130) respectively.

“For us, the improvement of social status of scientists is a priority and we implement it in different ways,” added Ashotian.
