Today RA Premier Tigran Sargsyan received а delegation of the Russian Railways Company headed by the company’s President Vladimir Yakunin. Russia’s Ambassador to Armenia Vyacheslav Kovalenko and the South Caucasus Railways CJSC General Director Shevket Shaydulin were also present at the meeting, the RA Government’s press service informed NEWS.am.

Tigran Sargsyan made a high appraisal of bilateral cooperation, stressing that delegation’s visit will enable the sides to discuss the implementation of joint programs.

Vladimir Yakunin informed the RA Premier of the details of his visit to the reconstructed Yerevan railway station. He added the new station meets international standards. 

The sides also discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation. Particularly, they discussed construction of the North-West road corridor, technical assistance by Russian Railways, as well as fulfillment of certain points of the concession agreement signed between the RA Government and the Russian Railways Company.
