Today RA President Serzh Sargsyan received President of the Russian Railways Company Vladimir Yakunin.

The sides discussed the current stage and development prospects of the Armenian railways, fulfillment of contractual commitments and certain programs of regional importance, the RA presidential press service informed NEWS.am.

The Armenian President and Vladimir Yakunin touched upon the North-South construction project, which is of political, economical and strategic importance not only for Armenia but also for the entire region.

They also discussed commitments under the concession agreement signed between the RA Government and the Russian Railways Company. Vladimir Yakunin assured the RA President that investment commitments for 2010 will be honored, and the company will continue its activities aimed at modernization and technical equipment of the Armenian railways.
