Armenia should abandon the system of oligarch monopolies, RA Ombudsman Armen Harutunyan told journalists on Friday. According to him, oligopoly as such jeopardizes competitiveness.
“The point is though economic and political structures are divided, they are interconnected. Frequently economic processes considerably affect the country’s foreign and domestic policy,” he stated. He also noted that the Constitution is neglected though its provisions should provide conditions for fair competition.
“Lawyers draft laws, whereas politicians enforce them,” the Ombudsman concluded.
