U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit is not aimed at solving Armenia’s problems, it is more of regional importance, the Head of Republican parliamentary group Galust Sahakyan told journalists on Saturday. The RPA member also added that he expects no considerable changes from the visit.

Galust Sahakyan noted that he personally is not that much interested in Clinton’s visit and has no information on whether she will visit the Memorial to Armenian Genocide victims. The MP stressed that the Armenia-U.S. relations are on the agenda of the official’s visit. The politician believes the visit’s objective is to create a diplomatic atmosphere rather than resolve a certain problem.

The vice chairman of the ruling party also noted that the world’s response to the recent act of sabotage by Azerbaijan was not adequate. According to him, if the statement by co-chairing states contained condemnation of Azerbaijan, it could somewhat accelerate the peace process.
