U.S. has contributed to the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict for many years, RA President Serzh Sargsyan said during the meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

“Now the major task for the Armenian people is resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with the principles of international law. Karabakh people have a right to decide their own destiny and develop in their historical territory. It is indefeasible right and due its implementation many world nations feel happy today,” he added.

Hillary Clinton thanked the President for his words regarding efforts made by President Obama and U.S. administration into the resolution of the conflict on the basis of the Helsinki principles.

July 4, RA President Serzh Sargsyan received U.S. delegation headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She has arrived in Armenia within the framework of her visit to Eastern European states and the South Caucasus.
