The Turkish Foreign Office ordered Kars Governor Ahmet Kara to provide information on the state of Armenian-Turkish border, land communication between the two countries as well as on how much time the infrastructure renovation may take.

Haberler reports the Governor admitted the fact that thee relevant documents are to be sent to the Turkish Foreign Office within a month. Also, Ankara has to try to placate Azerbaijan, as the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not yet been resolved. Kara reported that specialists went to the Akyaka. If the two sides reach an agreement, the infrastructure will be restored within a month. According to him, in contrast to Armenia, the Turkish communication infrastructure is in an excellent state. Specialists will try to calculate the expenses on a checkpoint at the Armenian-Turkish border and set specific terms, he said.
