YEREVAN. – An Armenian family repatriated from Azerbaijan was transported to Surb Lusavorch hospital of Yerevan.
The family was transported for examination and was accompanied Deputy Health Minister Vahan Poghosyan, a source told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
On January 10, 2010, Yeghishe Gevorgyan, together with his wife and three children, had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the Yeraskh-Nakhichevan road section, with a vehicle. Yeghishe Gevorgyan (born in 1958) was convicted eight times in Armenia for committing robbery and was involved in a murder.
On Friday afternoon Azerbaijan handed over the family to Armenia under the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
