On Friday afternoon Azerbaijan handed over the Gevorgyan family to Armenia under the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Poghosyan said they are undergoing examination, and it will be possible to make some conclusions after the examination is over and laboratory tests are received.
“If any disease is diagnosed, we will arrange free treatment,” Poghosyan added.
According to him, at present no problems that need urgent solutions were found.
On January 10, 2010, Yeghishe Gevorgyan, together with his wife and three children, had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the Yeraskh-Nakhichevan road section, with a vehicle. Yeghishe Gevorgyan (born in 1958) was convicted eight times in Armenia for committing robbery and was involved in a murder.
