President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Joao Barroso Soares is bewildered by the statement released on his behalf by Azerbaijani press. He said that he had not made such a statement and intends to officially refute it.

Earlier, the BBC Azeri service spread an interview of Joao Soares, saying Armenia is a major obstacle for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as the Armenian Diaspora is torpedoing the resolution.
