A new “Istanbul market” trade center opened 2 km far from Sarpi checkpoint near the Turkish-Georgian border. There are Georgian citizens among the employees.

Istanbul market provides extra preferences for Georgian citizens, enabling them to purchase the goods of global brands at reduced prices (without VAT).

The head of Adjara Levan Varshalomidze was present at the opening ceremony. He stressed that the opening of the trade center is an important step contributing to the development of the bilateral economic ties.
