Claudia Cardinale’s visit to Armenia is important in the light of screening of “Mayrig” (Mother) by Henri Verneuil, she told the journalists on Monday. Talking to the reporters, she hopes she would have a chance to visit Armenia for a longer period of time.

The actress complained about the heat. According to her, Armenians and Italians have much in common.

Claudia Cardinale said that she would like to film in the movies shot by Armenian directors in case the film was in Italian, French or English.

Italian Ambassador to Armenia who was also present at the meeting noted Claudia Cardinale’s visit contribute to the Armenian-Italian relations.

Renowned Italian actress Claudia Cardinale has arrived in Armenia to participate in the 7th Golden Apricot International Film Festival that opened in Yerevan on July 11.
