YEREVAN. – Six-month-old baby wounded in Gyuri tragedy underwent a surgery in Surb Astvatsatsin hospital on Friday,
The decision on conducting a surgery was made as a result of consultations conveyed on Friday morning by the leading local physicians and foreign experts.
The Armenian experts contacted their colleagues from Cleveland (US), Israel, Freiburg (Germany), Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Taking into account life-threatening wounds and in order to prevent the risk of becoming disabled, the physicians decided to perform a surgery.
The surgery was performed together with prominent neurological surgeon from Saint Petersburg Vilyam Khachatryan.
The surgery went well, the child is at intensive care department. Doctors say he is serious, but stable condition. Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradyan was at hospital during the surgery.
