Azerbaijani President’s statement proves ignorance has no bounds, Secretary of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Eduard Sharmazanov stated commenting on Aliyev’s statement that Nagorno-Karabakh cannot get any status without Azerbaijan’s consent and Azerbaijan’s military might is a decisive factor in negotiations over Nagorno-Karabakh.

He emphasized a nation’s right to self-determination rules out any other nation to make decision for it.

“I would like to bring the Azeri frustrated sultan’s notice that a right to self-determination means only that nation should determine its fate,” Sharmazanov said.

“If somebody has made decisions for Aliyev and his state to date, this does not mean he and his fellow tribesmen can do the same instead of Nagorno-Karabakh and Karabakh people,” he noted.

Sharmazanov reminded Aliyev that only the Karabakh people can do this, who long ago decided the independence has no alternative.
