Kazakhstan actively supports Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s efforts to resolve the Karabakh conflict, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev stated at the opening ceremony of the OSCE Informal Ministerial in Almaty.
According to Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan consistently promotes negotiation formats to solve the protracted conflicts in the OSCE area of responsibility. A special representative for the protracted conflict also works actively, he noted.
Nazarbayev stressed a number of meetings of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents were held.
“Today, the OSCE Minsk Group will hold a meeting on the Nagorno-Karabakh. We wish success to this meeting,” he noted.
As NEWS.am reported previously, a meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers with their U.S., French and Russian counterparts is expected on the margins of the OSCE Informal Ministerial.
