YEREVAN. – In 2015, the Unifish fish farming company of Armenia plans to export four to five tons of black caviar to the US, company director Armen Mkrtchyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, the company had sent a sample batch of caviar to the US, and this consignment was approved by both the client and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Subsequently, 100 kg of commercial batches of caviar were sent to the American market.

Now, the company supplier, Unifish USA, has 500 kg of caviar orders, per month, from stores, restaurants, and individuals. 

“There will not be a lack of orders; what remains only is to produce and send,” Mkrtchyan added.
