The statement issued by the heads of the delegations of the OSCE Minsk Group member-states that the elements introduced by the Russian, French and U.S. Presidents in l'Aquila are a single whole is a message to Azerbaijan, which is trying to sort out the elements in its favor, Naira Zohrabyan, the Chairwoman of the Commission for European Integration, member of the Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group, told NEWS.am.
As regards the Madrid principles, Azerbaijan is trying to single out the points convenient for it. "Any attempt to sort out a few elements makes a balanced solution impossible. It is totally illogical to sort out details and state some of them are acceptable others are not," Zohrabyan said. She stressed the necessity for a comprehensive solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Nagorno-Karabakh’s stratus – the people’s right to self-determination - is an all-important point, which is actually the basis for compromises. "It means that nothing is agreed until everything has been agreed. By their statement, the Co-Chair countries refuted Mammadyarov’s claim that the return of Kelbajar and Lachin would be discussed," Zohrabyan said.
