At the wedding party of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s daughter, Meymune Erdogan with the son of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Deputy Chairman Dursun Topcu, Turkish President Abdullah Gul personally gave the marriage certificate to the couple.

In his congratulatory speech, Gul told the couple “Uncle Erdogan” also wants to give advice to the newlywed, Turkish Habervakti website reports.

“Uncle Erdogan” wished Meymune to have at least three children, as the Turkish nation needs respected children. Erdogan noted they expect the couple to bring up a generation, doing good to Turkey.

Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Premier Recep Erdogan and Vice Premiers Bulent Arinc and Ali Babacan attended the wedding.
