An Armenian-Syrian business forum chaired by Abdullah al-Dardari, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of Syria, has been held in Aleppo.

Among the participants were Aleppo Governor Ali Ahmad Mansoura, RA Ambassador to Armenia Arshak Poladyan, RA Consul General in Syria Ashot Manukyan, RA Honorary Consul in eastern Syria Souren Vardanian and over 200 Armenian and Syrian businessmen.

The RA foreign office’s press service informed NEWS.am that Ambassador Poladyan pointed out the importance of necessary agreements to facilitate trade and economic cooperation. He also spoke of Armenian-Turkish relations and other factors hindering bilateral cooperation.

The sides exchanged view on Armenia’s customs laws as well as on the possibilities of more favorable conditions for the import of Syrian products to Armenia.
