On July 16-18, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Hrach Silvanyan visited Armenian-populated Javakhk. The Ambassador met with the region’s Governor Lasha Chkadua and the local officials to discuss economic and social-cultural problems of the region, particularly educational issues.

Hrach Silvanyan participated in a number of cultural events, including opening ceremony of the monument to Haos and Kartlos, symbolizing Armenian-Georgian friendship, Georgia Online reports.

The representatives of Armenian government and the Writers’ Union of Armenia, as well as clergy and MPs of both countries’ parliaments attended the event.
