A 7.9% increase in average monthly wages was registered in Armenia in the first half of 2010. As of July 1, 2010, the average monthly wages is 103,900 AMD (about U.S. $285) – 84,500 AMD (about U.S. $230) in government-financed institutions and 130,800 AMD (about U.S. 360) in the private sector.
The RA Statistical Service reports U.S. $1.28bn foreign trade balance in the first half of 2010 against U.S. $1bn in five months. Exports totaled U.S. $442m and imports U.S. $1.72bn AMD.
