The CBA Board considers it advisable to leave money-and-credit terms and the annual refinancing rate, 7.25%, unchanged.
The CBA press service informed NEWS.am that the CBA Board believe that the increasingly severe money-and-credit terms, reducing international prices on raw materials and food and diminishing influence of the expansionary monetary and fiscal policy slowed down the annual price rise.
According to the official data, a 0.8% fall in prices was registered this June as compared with the previous month, and a 0.5% fall as compared with last June (5.8%). This is about 1% lower than the CBA-planned price rise. The food prices showed a 1.2% decrease, nonfood prices a 0.9% decrease. A 0.1% rise in prices for services was registered.
Although the aforementioned factors can have further impact, the gradually recovering aggregate demand and seasonal prices for agricultural produce tend to cause price pressure.
