Today the information on the increase in number of emigrants is not available, Head of Migration Service at RA Ministry of Territorial Administration Gagik Yeganyan stated at a press conference on Thursday, commenting on Armenian First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s statement the demographic situation in the country has considerably changed in recent years.

Yeganyan disagreed with the data published by the UN Armenia Office, the number of migrants from Armenia has reached 1.300.000 since 1992.

According to him, various registration methods are used, and different results are produced. Yeganyan put the number between 1.000.000 and 1.100.000.
