On July 21-23, Armenian Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan received the Chinese delegation headed by China’s Deputy Minister for Commerce Chen Jian.
RA Deputy Economy Ministers Karine Minasyan and H. Beglaryan, as well as other representatives of the ministry, Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Tian Changchun attended the meeting, RA Economy Ministry press service informed NEWS.am.
The officials discussed the issues related to high informational technologies, tourism, industry, health care, road construction, as well as the intensification of trade and economic relations, the implementation of joint long-term and short-term cooperation programs.
The Armenian side presented Armenia’s investment environment to Chinese officials.
Taking into account the potential for China’s economic growth and economic rate, Nerses Yeritsyan attached significance to sharing knowledge and technologies and close cooperation in different spheres, which will have a positive impact on the expansion of bilateral trade and economic relations.
Interestingly, this is the Chinese officials’ third visit to Armenia in 2010. After visiting Shanghai 2010 Expo, at the invitation of Armenian Economy Minister Nerses Yeritsyan, the Chinese business delegation was on a visit to Armenia in April 2010.
