YEREVAN. – Armenia possesses all the conditions to enter and leave the broad market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) in a simplified way.

Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan noted the abovementioned at Wednesday’s international media forum entitled “At the Foot of Mount Ararat.”

In the minister’s words, Armenia’s vision for a sustainable and knowledge-based economy is as follows: Ensuring a maximum presence of business and investment in the country, and actively integrating into the global economy.  

“Each business entity shall have the best conditions in Armenia. Why invest in Armenia? First, [because] Armenia is a reliable country; no investor will ever lose his money [in the country], since it is guaranteed by the Constitution.  

“Aside from the EEU market-related benefits, Armenia also makes use of the GSP+ [trade] regime of the European Union market of 500 million. Armenia [also] makes use of the preferential regimes of the US, Japan, Canada, and [several] other countries,” Chshmarityan added.
