Armenia’s administrative court dismissed a case against rise in gas prices that was brought by thousands of consumers at the initiative of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), lawyer Vahe Hovsepyan told NEWS.am. The lawyer promised to inform of the details later. He also added that they intend to file an appeal.

On July 7, 2010, 7320 citizens filed a claim at the ANC’s initiative demanding that the court should recognize invalid the February 26 decision by Public Services Regulatory Commission. According to the decision, Armenian citizens pay 132, 000 AMD for 1000 m³ of gas against 96, 000 since April 1, 2010, whereas large consumers pay $ 243.13 instead of $215.
