Armenia may become an economic bridge for Lithuanian export to Iran, Lithuanian newspaper Verslo Zinios reports, commenting on the results of the Armenia-Lithuanian business forum held in Yerevan on March 23-25.   

Historically having stable relations with Iran, Armenia can become a bridge to the Iranian market with its 75 million residents.

“During our visit to Armenia, we had a meeting with the Iranian Confederation of Industrialists and we plan to develop our ties with them,” the Director of Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialist (LPK) Foreign Relations Department Aleksandras Izgorodinas stated.  

Lithuanian industrialists are attracted by the high prices of goods in Armenia, which makes the export beneficial.

“Overall, prices in Armenia are quite high, which allows to export to that country despite the expensive logistics,” Izgorodinas said.
