Head of Republican parliamentary group Galust Sahakyan concurs with Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan that Leader of the Armenian National Congress Levon Ter-Petrosyan wants to retire.
“I agree he retired long ago. Each Armenian citizen and pensioner can express his stance,” he stressed.
Asked what makes him arrive at such conclusions, particularly Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s speech at the 16th congress of the Armenian National Movement (ANM), Sahakyan stressed. “I have not read that speech up to the end, but I think Ter-Petrosyan retired 12 years ago,” he stated.
As to whether the former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan retired, Sahaklyan said: “No, Kocharyan was a creative president and was able to perform his duties with credit,” Sahakyan concluded.
