Political processes in the Armenian National Movement and Heritage Party were predictable, as it is a part of Armenia’s domestic political developments, the MP of Republican Party parliamentary group Lernik Alexanyan told the journalists on Wednesday.
“ANC and Heritage are getting ready for forthcoming parliamentary and presidential elections in Armenia and personnel reshuffle plays crucial role in the process. The mentioned political forces strive to participate in the elections with staff reflecting current political developments,” MP noted.
The fact that ANC consists of different political forces supposes internal disagreement that in particular affects the resolution of the Karabakh conflict, the MP said commenting on the recent developments in ANC. He also stressed that nationalistic views are intrinsic particularly to Republic Party.
According to the MP, in his statement the ANC leader went back to his roots, namely the views depicted in his “War or peace” article issued in mid 1990s.
As to Republican Party, Alexanyan said that its objective is not to get the majority of votes but find common interests with other political forces.
