On July 28, Vice Speakers of Armenian National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan and Arevik Petrosyan received Vice Speaker of NKR National Assembly Arthur Tovmasyan. The officials touched upon the Armenia-Artsakh inter-parliamentary cooperation, the prospects of diplomatic diplomacy, as well as The Hague International Court’s verdict on Kosovo’s’ independence, Armenian Foreign Office press service informed NEWS.am.
Tovmasyan stressed the precedent for recognition of Kosovo’s’ independence may contribute to the international recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh. In this regard he attached significance to the inter-parliamentary diplomacy. According to him, the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh will not hinder the Karabakh peace process.
The diplomats also discussed the recent developments in the peace process, as well as presentation of Karabakh issue in inter-parliamentary agencies.
