Galust Sahakyan mixed different aspects into one, Larisa Alaverdyan, a member of the Heritage parliamentary faction, told NEWS.am, commenting of a statement by the leader of the parliamentary majority Galust Sahakyan. He said that resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a task of all the Armenians, not only of Nagorno-Karabakh.
“The Supreme Council of Armenia made a decision in 1992, according to which Yerevan could not sign any document saying that Nagorno-Karabakh was part of Azerbaijan, without consent by the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities and people,” she said.
As regards Sahakyan’s claim that the Nagorno-Karabakh problem will be resolved as the Armenians decide, Alaverdyan said that the Armenians are an abstraction.
“That is, it is a vague literary, rather than a legal, term,” Alaverdyan said.
