YEREVAN. – For the export of energy resources Armenia needs to build roads first, both highways and railway, Iran's Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Reisi told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Asked whether Armenia may become a transit country for transportation of Iranian energy resources to Europe after the nuclear program's issue is settled, the Ambassador said this may happen in the future. 

“As soon as we reach the accord with the six powers, Iran's economy will register a serious movement. I am confident that relations with Armenia, especially in terms of economy, will improve in many areas, not only cultural, but for example in the construction of roads. We have agreements, and discussions are being held on these projects,” Reisi said.

As to the prospects for the settlement of Iranian nuclear problem, the Ambassador said this would take time.

“Probably, the agreement will be reached by the end of June,” he added.
