At the session of the Council of Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) in Astana, a number of questions of key importance for the deepening of the Eurasian economic integration were discussed.

According to the EEC press service, the event was attended by EEC Council members – Vasily Matyushevski, First Deputy PM of Belarus, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, First Deputy PM of Kazakhstan, Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy Government Chief of Staff of Russian Federation, as well as Vache Gabrielyan, Deputy PM and Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, Victor Khristenko, EEC College Chairman, and EEC College members.  

The EEC Council members considered a number of questions relating to the sphere of economic and financial policy, trade, development of integration, macroeconomics and industry.

Specifically, an EEC Council decision was adopted on setting up a working group on ensuring the operation of single market for services in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). Regulation on the working group and its members was approved. The working group structure was established taking into account the proposals submitted on behalf of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as Committee officials. 

The working group under the chairmanship of Minister of Economy and Financial Policy of EEC Timur Suleimenov, will prepare for the Commission member-states proposals, aimed at the insurance of the operation of single market for services in the framework of the EEU. The working group decisions will be of recommendation character.
