RA Vice-Premier, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan visited the Ararat region on August 4. Gevorgyan held a working meeting at the regional administration attended by the heads of local communities.
The RA Ministry of Territorial Administration informed NEWS.am that the meetings discussed the organization of grapes harvest and purchases.
The Vice-Premier drew the participants’ attention to the indices registered by the communities that registered much lower figures last year. He urged them to spare no efforts to improve their indices.
Thereafter, the governors of Ararat, Armavir, Aragatsotn, Tavush and Vaiots Dzor, RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration A. Bakhshyan and RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture S. Galstyan discussed the expected grapes harvest and effective organization of purchases. According to the regional administrations and the RA Ministry of Agriculture the current year’s grapes harvest is expected to exceed last year’s by 7,000 tons.
Vice-Premier Gevorgyan instructed the officials to ensure effective purchase of grapes from villagers.
