The Hraparak newspaper held an interview with Ralph Yirikian, VivaCell General Manager. Below is an excerpt from the interview:
May be, you plan to enter the political scene, especially in order to join a new party this autumn?
I do not care about what is going to happen this autumn. I am not interested in knowing about it. We, as a company, based our work on certain labor and human values, and, every day, we are reminding our family members that they are important values, that we must respect each other and so on. If, one day, the company manager uses the company’s achievements for his personal political purposes, everything will collapse. We have never had a political figure in our family, and I do not want to be the first to bring our family to politics.
Why? Do you consider politics so a malicious sphere that you do not want to enter into it?
It is not my profession or my wish. I am working in the communication sector, and I will continue in this sector, in economy. The Prime Minister is an executive in the political arena. Rumors are always circulating. It is not my way of thinking. Ralph Yirikian is not at all thinking of this.
So will you decline such an offer?
Yes, I will.
Will you decline even Robert Kocharyan’s offer?
Whoever it may be, with all due respect for each person. It is not my interest, and I am not an expert in the world of politics.
