YEREVAN. - The management of Armenia's Russian-owned power distribution company Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) ‘should go and sleep on our talk,’ Vahram Baghdasaryan, head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia  (RPA) told Armenian News – NEWS.am in the parliament on Tuesday in the follow-up to the meeting of MPs with the management of Electric Networks of Armenia, Ministry of Energy and Public Services Regulatory Commission. 

Responding to the question on what the MPs asked Yevgeny Bibin, Director General of Electric Networks of Armenia, Baghdasaryan said: “Bibin was told everything that was necessary.”

Referring to the question on whether the issue of renting mansions and cars had been discussed, Baghdasaryan said: “Everything was discussed. Nobody has the right to include them in the tariff.”

“They should go and sleep on our talk. And during the [Public Services Regulatory] Commission session (during which the tariff will be determined) I think everything will be very clear and simple. There’ll be no vagueness. They and the Commission will each present their own reasons,” Baghdasaryan said.

The current tariff of the Electric Networks of Armenia for the population constitutes 41,85 AMD for 1 kWh in the daytime and 31,85 AMD at night. The ENA proposes to increase the tariff up to 58 and 48 AMD respectively.
