YEREVAN. – Four communities in Armenia—Urtsadzor (Ararat Province), Vardenik (Gegharkunik Province), Akhtala (Lori Province), and Artik (Shirak Province)—on Wednesday signed agreements with the Council of Europe (CoE), to carry out citizen participation initiatives in their communities.
Experts from the CoE Congress of Local and Regional Authorities had conducted respective coaching in these four communities, which were selected through a competition.
This initiative is carried out by the aforesaid congress, and within the framework of the Support to Consolidating Local Democracy in Armenia project, which is funded by the Danish government.
