The First Deputy Minister of Justice of Armenia, Arsen Mkrtchyan, participated in the meeting of the United States working group that studies the Insolvency Law of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

In addition to Armenia, delegates from about sixty countries attended this event, which had kicked off on May 26.

The need for reforms in Armenia in this domain is due to the fact that the Ministry of Justice makes respective changes in the concept for the avenues for legal improvement of the bankruptcy domain in the country.

Participation in the aforesaid meeting enabled Armenia to be engaged in the process of reviewing the reforms in the Insolvency Law of the UNCITRAL, consider the respective international track-record, and create preconditions for the development of this domain in Armenia.
