Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and PM Ahmet Davutoglu had a meeting in Turkey’s presidential residence. PM Ahmet Davutoglu resigned together with the Cabinet MPs in view of the end of the term, Turkish Milliyet reports.

President Erdogan accepted the resignation and thanked for serving the people. However, he asked Davutoglu to remain in his post until a new government is formed.

As a result of the parliamentary elections held in Turkey on June 7, AKP received 40.8, CHP 24.96, MHP 16.3 and the Kurdish HDP 13.1 per cent votes.
